Duplicate statements attract a charge

The City of Windhoek this week urged Windhoek ratepayers to update the contact details on their accounts and to ensure that all information on the accounts is correct.
In a statement released earlier in the week, the Windhoek municipality said the City will charge a fee for all duplicate statements.

The Office of the Chief Executive, Marketing, Tourism and Customer Care stated that a lfee of N$15.00 plus VAT will be levied for each duplicate statement that is requested by the client.
“As the mailing of the original statement is free of charge all subsequent statements requested for e-mailing, faxing or over the counter will be subjected to the charge” the City said.
“The charge will be debited directly to the account of the client. To update your contact details, kindly visit any of our Cash halls and complete the necessary form readily available at our enquiry desks.” Any ratepayer with enquiries regarding the procedure is encouraged to contact the City of Windhoek.
