Care and Maintenance or Life Support?

The Ambassador of France, Her Excellency Jacqueline Bassa-Mazzoni, visited Trekkopje Mine earlier this month, accompanied by Mr Alexandre Raugel of the French Embassy and Dr Jean-Philippe Rançon, Director for Austrial Africa of the Geological Research Mining Bureau. Pictured are from left, Mr Raugel, his spouse Alina, Dr Rançon,  Ambassador Bassa-Mazzoni, Hilifa Mbako, the Managing Director of AREVA Namibia and Francois van Dyk, the Acting Mine Manager. The Ambassador stated that the Trekkopje Mine has impressive infrastructure which should be maintained for restarting once the price of uranium increases. Mbako said the infrastructure is kept in working condition to be ready for commissioning when required.
