The Ohorongo Otavi Community Trust assist the local Otavi Police Station by donating a new multi-function copier/fax/scanner to the Namibia Police. The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Safety and Security, Dr Ndeutala Angolo received the appliance this week on behalf of the police station.
Deputy Commissioner Mavenjono expressed his appreciation saying that Cllr Namibili of Otavi and the Mayor, Mr. Moses Damaseb, always assist the Otavi Police in crime prevention.

Dr Angolo said her ministry is aware of the various needs of its departments, however, the available budget for these items remains limited, hence the great appreciation for assistance from the private sector. She further extended her appreciation to Ohorongo Cement for their involvement, support and concern for the Otavi community, and for encouraging the town to develop, adding that Ohorongo Cement has added a lot of value to the Namibian economy. Maxes Office Machines provided training after the hand-over ceremony, to ensure that the new equipment can be used efficiently and effectively.
