ClaSH donates to hospital

ClashThe Association for Children with Language, Speech and Hearing Impairments of Namibia (CLaSH) recently donated a screening audiometer valued at N$11 400 to the St Mary Catholic Hospital in Rehoboth to aid screening efforts and early identification of children with hearing impairments in the district. According to Bianca Kamati, office administrator at ClaSH, prevention of permanent hearing loss as well as early identification and early intervention for hearing impaired children has been one of the main focal areas of CLaSH’s work over the past 20 years. The organisation has established close links with the Ministry of Health and Social Services and donated several items, such as audiometers, hearing aids and stethotoscopes to health workers and clinics.
