The Word in new Khoekhoegowab style
Pastor Hendrik /Gariseb of the new AME Church (left), the Rev. Barnie van der Walt of the Bible Society of Namibia, and Bishop Ernst //Gamxamub of the Evangelical Lutheran Church at the official launch of the the revised version of the Elobmîs, the old translation of the Bible in Khoekhoegowab. The ceremony took place at the Lutheran Church (ELCRN), Tanidare Congregation in Katutura. More than 500 people attended the service led by Bishop //Gamzamûb with various choirs and a very talented brass band. The new Elobmîs is written in the new, standard orthography and took 10 years to complete.
