In time for Chinese New Year

Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) announced this week that its first consignment of Windhoek Lager to China has exceeded all expectations. Goose Goosen (pictured right), Manager of Global Sales at the Breweries said “Our beer was exported early in December last year from Walvis Bay and arrived in China on 07 January.

Windhoek Lager was exported and received with open arms as the demand for Windhoek Lager increases with locals travelling to Namibia and South Africa.” He said that the initial consignment was to test and gauge market response. “There is however a preference for Windhoek Lager and Windhoek Draught,” he added. Goosen said there are always challenges when exporting to other countries but added that he is pleased with his team completing the task within the allocated time frame and that the whole process was completed in record time. ”I am confident that our 100% Pure Beer will once again deliver against high expectations in the premium market in China” he said.
