Old Mutual’s Corporate Division announced this week it has bought a brand new sewing machine for Anusa Schoolwear, the needlework project run by a local charity, Beautiful Kidz
Beautiful Kidz Namibia is a Non-Profit Organisation serving as a Ministry to Children in need and was established in 2003.
Their community based centre is located in Katutura and caters for many orphaned and vulnerable children.
Their focus is on education, training, youth programmes and job creation.

In a community where drug and alcohol abuse is high, where unemployment is high, and where many young people suffer because of HIV/Aids and hunger; Beautiful Kidz has made it their mission to care for nearly 90 toddlers, 360 young people and 20 adults every week. The organisation also offers Computer Training, a Homework Class as well as Teacher and Child Care Training.
Old Mutual’s Corporate division said in a statement it appreciates the selfless work of the Beautiful Kidz team and passion for their mission.
Last year it sponsored them with N$30,000 and this week, it gave them a brand new blind stitch sewing machine enabling them produce school uniforms far more efficiently both in terms of time and labour.
