O&L bids Mrs List farewell

The Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group of Companies announced today that Mrs. Hildegard Elizabeth List – a Non-Executive Director of the O&L Group – passed away on Friday, the 10th January at Swakopmund at the age of 94.
The Executive Chairman of the O&L Group, Sven Thieme – on behalf of the board of directors -said: “We are shocked and greatly saddened by the passing of Mrs. List.
She was a visionary leader, a devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren, and a remarkable woman.”
Mrs. List served on the O&L Board as Non-Executive Director since the death of her husband and former O&L Chairman, Mr. Werner List in 2002.  She leaves behind a legacy of passion, hard work and energy that were the source of countless innovations that enriched and improved many lives.  

The well-known Wernhil Park shopping centre in Windhoek – at which she made her last official appearance with its Phase 3 Inauguration in 2011 – was named after her and her late husband.
Thieme concluded: “The O&L Group’s directors and employees, as well as many of the people she worked with and mentored over the years, mourn her loss. We extend our sympathies to Mrs. List’s family, particularly her children and grandchildren, who meant the world to her.”
