Wonderful things for Havana

The children of Havana Soup Kitchen experienced the joy of Christmas at a sumptuous party organised for them by the staff of Agra Ltd.

Agra staff members, through the Agra PMK Social Project, entertained the children of Havana Soup Kitchen recently at a special Christmas party at the Agra/Bank Windhoek Ring on the Windhoek Show grounds.
The party included a gift to each child, bought by an Agra employee.
Each child also received a lunch box with sweets and a small surprise. The caretakers, Frieda and Simon Geises, and Lea as well as two volunteers also received hampers to thank them for their unselfish contribution to take care of the children.

For the duration of the party, the children ate and played on a real jumping castle.
The Havana Soup Kitchen, the current beneficiary of this social project of Agra, takes care of more than 40 children in the morning, feeding them breakfast and lunch and using the time to prepare them for school.
Many of these vulnerable children can not attend pre-school or primary school.
The Agra/PMK social project, initiated by Mr. Peter Kazmaier, CEO of Agra, uses monthly contributions and personal involvement of Agra staff members to benefit target charities.
The project started in 2009 to help vulnerable children in Katutura, and to teach life skills to the parents of the children of Havana Soup Kitchen.
