Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) recently reaffirmed their commitment to the Xupifa Eemwenyo Road Safety Initiative by supporting it with a sponsorship of N$30,000 in cash and Vigo soft drinks to the value of N$18,534. As a further gesture of their support for the road safety campaign, the Breweries donated N$10,000 to the West Coast Safety Initiative.
Namibia Breweries said in a statement the Vigo sponsorship is in recognition of law enforcement officials’ critical role when it comes to high visibility policing and law enforcement.
Wessie van der Westhuizen, Managing Director of NBL said: “The festive season is in full swing and with the same voice as the Namibian Police, the MVA Fund, the National Road Safety Council and other key players in road safety, NBL requests all road users to take extra care and be cautious at all times.”
He said the Breweries lives to the O&L values and purpose of ‘Creating a future, enhancing life’. adding “we have pledged to serve our company, community and country and by re-enforcing the message of road safety, we hope to speak to the hearts and minds of Namibians, urging them to be responsible in everything they do over the summer holidays, especially on the roads.”
