Without reliable suppliers, retailers do not survive

Pick n Pay Namibia brought a South African entertainer to Windhoek last week for a grand bash with the retailer’s suppliers to thank them for their commitment.
Pick n Pay hosted the special dinner for suppliers acknowledging them and thanking them for their continuous support.
In his address Henry Feris, Managing Director of Pick n Pay Namibia said that Pick n Pay, as a leading retailer is extremely proud to promote and support business growth in Namibia.  

“As such, your presence here tonight is greatly appreciated as it manifests the great relationship we have in terms of sharing a common vision which is to develop Namibia and her people to ultimately become a sustainable, knowledgeable and educated nation and country”, said Feris.  
He added that through the O&L Group’s purpose statement ‘Creating a future, enhancing life’, Pick n Pay was proud to be associated with and support, amongst others, the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Growth at Home strategy that aims to develop the economy through local growth.
 “By mobilizing the contribution of the private sector towards a business environment that encourages Namibia’s competitiveness and growth, we are confident that a skilled labour force is one of the major contributing factors to mitigating slow growth and that high unemployment levels are in large part a result of a shortage of skills” said Feris.
 Ohlthaver & List CEO Peter Grüttemeyer sincerely thanked all suppliers and partners for their support and commitment throughout the past year.
