Scores of records fell in Lüderitz
General Manager and shareholder of the Nest Hotel in Lüderitz, Ulf Grünewald (with beard) is an irrepressible promoter of his home town as a tourist destination. When the world’s windsurfers announced they are descending on Lüderitz once again, to try and outdo themselves, Ulf did not baulk. His enthusiasm for the annual windsurf record breaking attempts turned this year’s event into a prelude for the Adventure Travel World Summit. This week at a reception at the Nest, Swede Anders Bringdal (right), world record holder on a production board who reached 50.43 knots, received his award of N$10,000 courtesy of BSi Steel.
