The SKW ladies team swept all opposition away to take the Federation Cup. SKW ladies won easily against Defence 3:0. The two main spikers, Anna Rosa Mupiri and Elina Veijo made the points although Lea Angula was able to block them at times. Unfortunately the very hard and very effective spikes of Anna Hengona did not make so many points like in other games. So SKW walked away with both trophies - NFV Cup and the Bank Windhoek National Volleyball League 2013

Last Saturday, 16 November, the last big event of the season of volleyball took place: The finals of the NVF cup were played in the DTS-Hall. While the semi finals, 14 days before, could not attract so many spectators, the scene changed this weekend completely, as there was hardly enough space for all the fans.

The last game of the men was accompanied by shouts, many comments and resounding applause, and both teams deserved it – it was an exciting game and both teams showed a remarkable spirit with their viewers on the feet. Even if the result 3:1 for Defence against Nampol does not show it, Nampol really played as well as Defence. In both teams the two players of the National team were the dominant players, on the side of Defence it was Eddy Uyepa and Andreas Engombe .and on the opponent side Rehabeam Hengari and Clemence Hamutenya. Both teams tried to play the “fast game.” Many attacks were so fast, that the block did not have a chance to react. The ladies played without any surprise.RVC (Revivals) and KNVC (Nampol) played the small final. In the third set both teams were fighting very hard, and RVC won the set with only 27:25 points. In this set the two teams showed the spectators that they are counted among the top teams. The national player Lynette Lientjie Titus, only 18, and the pregnant Catherine Thomas (“Two are always stronger than one”) impressed their audience. National players Maria Shikongo und Theopolina Shikulo worked flat out to turn the game. RVC (Revivals) won 3:1 against KNVC (Nampol), and took third place in NFV-Cup as well as in the league.
