JA hosts Global Entrepreneurship Week

Namibia celebrates the role of innovators and jobs creators during the Global Entrepreneurship Week taking place next week from 18 to 24 November.
Junior Achievement is the national host organisation for the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Namibia.
According to a statement issued by the country director of Junior Achievement Namibia, Johanna Cloete, the Global Entrepreneurship Week which is hosted during the first week of November inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

“These activities from large scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors, introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities,” said Cloete adding that the Global Entrepreneurship Week continues to attract and engage high-profile entrepreneurs who are enthusiastic to share their personal experiences and insights.
“The Global Entrepreneurship Week is more than just an awareness campaign.
It is a platform for connection and collaboration engaging all players along the entrepreneurship spectrum in strengthening entrepreneurial systems around the world,” said Cloete.
The official opening of the Global Entrepreneurship takes place on Tuesday, 19 November at the FNB Auditorium in Windhoek West.
The initiative was launched in 2008 and has since grown to 125 countries with 24,000 partner organisations planning 33,846 activities that directly engage millions of participants every year.
