Awesome line-up of entertainment

Visitors of the Windhoek Industrial and Agricultural Show can look forward to an exciting line-up of entertainment for all members of the public. According to Chairperson of the Windhoek Show Society,  Harald Schmidt, this year’s show offers a bigger and wider variety of entertainment, food and drinks. “We have moved away from the the traditional pap and boerewors and now offer more variety. We have different types of food from fish to hamburgers and our beer garden is bigger and more relaxed too, for our mature visitors to mingle”.
Last year 20 Namibian rock acts graced the stage to perform at the Namrock Festival, however the turn-out was poor. “We have moved away from such a huge event because we expected a lot of people to attend but the event was extremely disappointing so this year we have people that are in the entertainment industry and know the industry well. They will use the stage as a platform to market themselves and gain confidence to perform for even bigger crowds. This year’s show also has inter-active entertainment driven by Inter-Act. They will have a renowned Red Bull International Athlete who visitors can get to see” he said.
The entertainment area has been moved closer to the public and will give micro-company exhibitors a place close to their stands for them to unwind. Schmidt said they are expecting between 18,000 and 25,000 visitors in the entertainment area alone.
