Bank Windhoek will once again host the Seven-a-Side-Soccer Tournament at the Windhoek Agricultural Show scheduled for 27 September to 5 October .
The Bank Windhoek Seven-a-Side Soccer Tournament for farm workers will also include staff working at the Show, such as cleaners and security guards who  will also participate in the popular tournament. The tournament, which was started last year, aims to create a constructive past-time for farm workers and support staff working at the Show.
Thirty teams with a maximum of 10 players are expected to participate in the tournament and they stand a chance to win prizes.
The price money will be deposited in a Bank Windhoek EasySave Account that will be opened for each player.
The soccer tournament will start on Sunday, 29 September at the Entertainment area of the Windhoek Show grounds with registrations at 15h00. The games will start at 19h00 on the same day and will continue every evening from 19h00 to 21h00 until 3 October 2013.
“The Bank Windhoek Seven-a-side-Soccer Tournament is a fun way to encourage the financially excluded and under-banked Namibians to open a bank account to keep their money safe and be able to save for that special something that they want to buy in the future”, said Elzita Beukes, Communication Practitioner: Stakeholder Engagement at Bank Windhoek.
