Bank Windhoek awards excellence

Bank Windhoek announced the winners of their annual Bank Windhoek Executive Awards at a ceremony which was held on 5 September. This year Bank Windhoek introduced four new Managing Director awards as part of its Annual Executive Awards ceremony.

Although called MD’s awards, all the staff in the bank were invited to nominate a colleague for one of the awards, which enabled them to recognise and acknowledge the achievements of their peers and team members. Ryan Geyser, Senior Manager of Product/Channel Development and E-Channel Processing, received the MD’s Leadership award for management staff. Geyser received the award for his leadership style that is inspiring, motivational and embracing diversity within the workplace. He has also been recognised for his strong commitment towards organisational success and delivering the required business results. Other recipients of the MD’s awards were, Suzette Mouton of the Swakopmund Branch, who received the MD’s Leadership award for non-management staff; Maggy Shixungileni, from the Capricorn Branch, who received the award for the Best Secretary/Personal Assistant for Branches; and Meegan Diergaardt from the Finance Department, who received the award for the Best Secretary/Personal Assistant for Support Services. Other award categories included Best Overall Retail Branch, Best Large Retail Branch, Medium Retail Branch and Small Retail Branch. The top Specialist Finance branches were also rewarded as well as the top teams in the Bank’s Support Services departments and units. Speaking at the awards ceremony, Christo de Vries, Managing Director of Bank Windhoek said: “Bank Windhoek is without a doubt a leader in the financial sector in Namibia with solid growth and an excellent reputation. The current success and positioning of Bank Windhoek, as well as that of our group, is testimony to the efforts and dedication of all of you and a result of your hard work and commitment.”
