Seeing that August is Women’s month, Standard Bank said six of its nine directors are female. 

Celebrating this milestone, the bank said “close to 70% of Standard Bank Namibia’s Board of Directors comprise of phenomenal women who are held in high regard for their reputable careers, qualifications and status in society. These include six women out of a board of nine Board of Directors. The female directors are Baronice Hans, a Chartered Accountant, Pindie Nyandoro, the Chief Executive of Southern and Central Africa of Standard Bank Limited, Advocate Natasha Bassingthwaighte, a lawyer by profession, Birgit Eimbeck, another Chartered Accountant as well as a Certified Internal Auditor, Martha Namundjebo-Tilahun, the Chairperson and Co-owner of United Africa Group, and Dr Ndapewa Humunime, a medical doctor.
Standard Bank’s Board is currently chaired by Herbert Maier. Also serving on the board since 2007 are Chief Executive of Standard Bank Namibia, Mpumzi Pupuma and Chief Executive Officer of the MVA Fund, Jeremiah Muadinohamba.
