Nakara’s winter sale has become a popular event for the well-heeled but it also offers the opportunity to generate funds for charity. Lifeline/Childline runs a small lollipop kiosk selling sweets to the sale patrons, and Nakara donates the funds from the Fruehschoppen to the child-support group. Last week Nakara presented these funds to its director, Jane Shityuwete.
Nakara affords LifeLine/ChildLine the opportunity to sell lollipops at the winter sale as part of the annual Lollipop fundraising drive. Nakara not only donates the proceeds but also sources and supplies all the food and drink for the Fruehschoppen. This expense complements the direct donation which came to N$36,500.
At the handover Shityuwete noted that Nakara has been a committed and valued supporter of their work for many years.  She thanked them for their generous donation which helps the organisation to continue its work to offer counselling and support to children affected by violence or abuse.
Nakara is a premier supplier of leather products, game skins and upholstery products. The company is known for its world-class designs in leather and fur.
