Ecstatic Win a House winner, Yolandie van Wyk was overjoyed when she heard she has won the Vela House in the Wispeco’s competition run during last year’s Windhoek Show. Louis van den Berg, the MD of Wispeco did the honours.
Once the site for the construction was identified, the standard procedures for the submission and approval of plans were followed. Once all the regulatory aspects were finalised, construction started and the end results, a complete VelaHouse, met its new owner this week.
“It was fantastic when I found out I won, I was ecstatic! I SMSed approximately 30 to 40 times, and I won!”said an excited Yolandie, the moment she was announced the winner.
Wispeco Housing Solutions is a division of Wispeco Namibia and the sole supplier of Vela Building Solutions products. Since its inception 11 months ago it has built classrooms, alternative housing and supplied and fitted its steel roof trusses in various projects.
A celebration with the new owner and Wispeco CEO, Louis van den Berg, was held at Yolandie’s Vela House in Rehoboth where she officially received the keys this week.
At this event, Wispeco Namibia also announced the official name change of Vela Building Solutions to Wispeco Housing Solutions, a division of Wispeco Namibia, a company operating in the Namibian landscape for over 60 years.
Van den Berg said Wispeco Housing Solutions is built on the sound reputation of the Wispeco brand, which is already a reputable household name in Namibia.
“We have undertaken a vast amount of projects employing alternative building solutions in Namibia already,and with great success I may add,” he said.
“With endless opportunities in the Namibian market for alternative building solutions and the array of other products under this brand, the company looks forward to building many more homes for Namibians” he said.
