Lück retains beach volleyball tour lead

After settling for fourth position in the men’s division of the Kia Namibia National Beach Volleyball tour, Achim Lück extended his lead at the top, winning last weekend’s Maerua Superspar tournament with his partner Peter Brinkmann
Veterans Lück and Brinkmann beat the under 21 national team of Tin Hlupic and Gerard Fischer, as well as the youth team of Jan Erik Sack and Roman von Ludwiger.
After a win against Sack/von Ludwiger, the experienced duo came up against their arch rivals Hlupic and Fischer. Lück and Brinkmann edged out their younger opponents with 22:20 whilst the second set was dominated by the veterans – 21:16.
In the women’s category Simone von Wietersheim and Anita Kinder had three wins from three games. They extended their lead in the overall ranking, by both now holding 135 points each.
Second place went to newly formed team of Mareike Talkenberg and Lizette Röttcher leaving first timer team of Maike Brandt and Anki Schulz in third place.
