Municipal accounts in arrears mushroom – City fathers to disconnect services

The City of Windhoek (CoW) has urged clients with any outstanding debt to pay their accounts immediately to avoid the disconnection of services.

The municipality in a statement this week said that they have noticed an alarming and unsustainable increase of accounts in arrears.

“Please note that we have already started blocking the pre-paid electricity meters of clients with accounts in arrears, therefore in order for us to continue to deliver balanced and efficient services, we need all residents’s cooperation in this regard,” they emphasised.

The municipality meanwhile, said for further queries regarding accounts and queries one may contact their customer contact centre on 061 290 3777.
