‘Ageing is not lost youth but a new stage of opportunity and strength’ – Mariental elderly supported with food parcels

The German Embassy in Windhoek’s micro project fund recently delivered food parcels to the elderly and most vulnerable members of the Mariental community.

The food packages valued at over N$28 000 were handed over to the families chosen by the members of the Women’s Missionary Society, an organization of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Mariental.

The church group which normally serves its congregation members in need through fund raising and donations reached out to the German Embassy for assistance, a call the Embassy answered to.
