72 candidates scramble for vacant Telecom CEO post

The Telecom Board of Directors on Monday said a total of 72 applications were received for the vacant position of CEO, following the closing date of applications on 27 August.

Telecom in an update of the status of the recruitment process for the vacant position said out of the 72 applications, 13 are women and 59 men.

“The recruitment process is ongoing, and the Board remains committed to finding a suitably qualified candidate,” said Telecom Namibia Board of Directors Chairperson, Jerry Muadinohamba in a statement

“Although the recruitment process is ongoing, the Board would like to take this opportunity to thank all the applicants for their interest in Telecom Namibia and indeed the CEO vacancy. The Board intends on having the recruitment and selection process concluded by end of September 2020, at which stage we hope to have identified a suitably qualified candidate to assume the role,” Muadinohamba added. concluded.

According to Muadinohamba only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and only those considered to meet the minimum criteria will be invited for further screening.
