Spain supports Spanish at UNAM

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed last week between the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID), and the University of Namibia (UNAM).  The agreement represents a step forward in the consolidation of the Spanish programme in the Department of Language and Literature Studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of UNAM. The accord was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of UNAM, Prof. Lazarus Hangula, and Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Mrs. Carmen Díez.
Due to the fact that Spanish is a popular subjectnd subject, UNAM decided to assume the leadership in the Spanish programme for 2013, in partnership with the Spanish Embassy,
