Corporate challenge relay launched

Bank Windhoek has sponsored its first annual Corporate Challenge Relay with N$100 000. Partnering with Trustco United Sports Club the event will be held on 7 September 2013. The aim of the relay which consist of a 20km walk or run in Windhoek, is to encourage teamwork and a healthy lifestyle amongst individuals in the corporate sector and the general public.

“Bank Windhoek is committed to the development of sport in Namibia, as seen by our sponsorships toward athletics, enduro, fistball, golf, ladies cricket, netball, volleyball, and recently, swimming. Bank Windhoek strives to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness, as essential to a balanced lifestyle. We also believe that healthy competition and teamwork is a vital part of any successful business. It is to this end that we are proud to be the title sponsor of the 2013 Bank Windhoek Corporate Challenge Relay”, said Marlize Horn, Executive Officer: Marketing and Corporate Communication Services at Bank Windhoek.
Corporate companies, schools and individual groups can enter teams of four to compete in the Men, Women, Mixed and School categories. The entry fee will be N$400 for corporate companies and individual groups and N$250 for school teams.
Marlize added: “We are excited about the Corporate Challenge Relay, and we challenge businesses and schools in Namibia to enter as many teams as possible. We expect the 7th of September to be a fun-filled event, to be enjoyed by all. Bank Windhoek’s mission has always been to demonstrate, that together we do better, and believe that through this initiative, we as corporates can create better relationships within our respective companies, as well as foster stronger working relationships externally.”
Entry forms are available at Bank Windhoek branches and on the Bank Windhoek website. Entries close on 2 September 2013.
