Convenience brings payment option for NATIS clients

Point of Sale device (Photograph contributed)National Information System ( NaTIS) clients across the country now have more payment options as of early this year.
This comes after Bank Windhoek recently installed Point of Sale (POS) Devices at NaTIS offices countrywide aimed to bring about convenient payment methods to thousands of Namibians.
This facility is an alternative to cash payments, which reduces the risk of cash payments.
“This initiative ensures convenience and safety to NATIS clients. When transacting at a POS device, clients are requested to always provide positive identification to minimise card fraud. It is the client’s responsibility to be vigilant of the daily purchase limit whenever a transaction is done at a device,” said Harrycio Landsberg, business development officer of electronic channels at Bank Windhoek.
“Furthermore, clients should not accept help from strangers and when entering their PIN should stand in such a way that nobody can memorise the number. PINs should not be given to anyone and debit cards should always be treated as cash,” Harrycio Landsberg added.
