Namibia represented at Miss Freedom of the World

Namibian beauty, Paulina Malulu in the yellow dress, impressed judges at the recent Miss Freedom of the World pageant in Kosovo with her grace and natural beauty. But for the young Namibian, this surprise was the biggest Christmas blessing she has had in her life so far. She participated in a beauty pageant in Pristina, Kosovo aiming to bring the world’s attention to female repression in a country where violence was a way of life for a long time.
The pageant is called Freedom of the World. As First Princess in an earlier event, the Southern Africa International beauty contest, Miss Malulu represented Africa at the Kosovo event together with beauty queens from fourteen other countries. Turkey emerged the overall winner.
Miss Malulu scooped the Miss Bikini title at the Miss Freedom of the World pageant in  Kosovo and she managed a place in the top ten.
On the night of the final show, she wore a grecian canary yellow gown as she sashayed down the ramp with such grace and made Namibia proud with her beauty and grace thereby making the entire Africa proud.
After the pageant, Miss Malulu remained in Kosovo for further photoshoots and promotional appearances. She left Kosovo the Monday before Christmas and arrived in Windhoek early evening the next day.
Miss Freedom of the World was the first international pageant to be held on Kosovo soil as the country is being restored to its former glory after the war. The pageant aims to improve and promote women’s rights and women’s affairs.
The delegates were all driven in luxurious Limousines as their mode of transport.
Miss Southern Africa International director, Ms Hilday Mulenga commented: “A thunderous welcome should befit such a hero who single handedly promoted Namibia’s tourism and the Namibian people.”

While in Kosovo, the Namibian beauty visited various places and met the Head of the Kosovo police, minister of internal affairs and other dignitaries.
