Gladiators to take on Twiga Stars

Brave Gladiators will be playing against the Tanzanian women national soccer team, Twiga Stars this Saturday . “We are well prepared, my team has trained hard against the local boys as well as played a number of friendlies, I  am very confident, said the enthusiastic Jacqueline Shipanga, coach for the Brave Gladiators
Of the 22 players picked for the match against the Twiga Stars of Tanzania, seven are junior players and two players Midfielder Thomalina Adams and defender Mammie Kasoana arrived early Tuesday morning  from Germany to join the rest of the team.
They played a friendly game against the U/17 team on Tuesday.
When asked about their opposition, Shipanga said she has great respect for the Tanzanian National team as they are experienced and have matured players. “I had the privilege of watching them play but we have identified areas of their weakness so we will use that to our advantage” continued the Gladiators coach.
She further urged the corporate sponsors to step up and invest in female football as well as thank Klaus Staerk, the Technical Director for the Namibia Football Association, UNICEF for the girls and goals league and the FIFA Woman’s Super league for making this upcoming match possible.
The match will be taking place at the Sam Nuyoma Stadium at 17h00.
