Current online survey is a hoax says Telecom Namibia

Telecom Namibia has warned the public against an online survey scam, that is making its rounds on different social media platforms.

According to the telecoms provider, the survey pops up on selected social platforms and offers fake free gifts or other bogus inducements in return for completing the survey.

“The survey is hosted on a fake domain using our company details. We request all members of the public to refrain from taking part in this survey as such surveys are an attempt to acquire personal information of customers,” Telcom added.

Meanwhile Telecom has since distanced itself from the survey that is currently circulating on social media and has appealled to the public not to open any survey links in circulation, claiming to be from Telecom Namibia.

“Telecom Namibia is not responsible for this survey and shall not be liable for any loss of property/identity theft, or any other matters related to this scam,” they concluded.
