Namibia to face the Netherlands in March, ahead of Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-nations series

The Cricket team will host the Netherlands national team in Windhoek from 25 March to 1April the country’s Cricket governing body announced.

Namibia and the Netherlands will engage in the following Cricket formats; T20 and 50 over matches during the period, Cricket Namibia’s, Natalia Nauyoma said last week.

“The tournament will prepare Namibia’s senior men’s team the Eagles for the upcoming home Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series scheduled for April against Nepal and Scotland,” Nauyoma added.

The 2020 tri-nations series between Namibia, Nepal, and Scotland will be played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures and all of the matches will form part of the 2019–2022 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tournament.

The tournament also forms part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
