SPCA up to speed

FNB Namibia recently installed an FNB Speedpoint at the SPCA compound in Windhoek. It is the first time in its history that the SPCA can process electronic payments at its premises. The bank has made this service available at a special rate by waiving installation fees as well as the monthly rental. Rene Botes (Manager FNB Windhoek Speed point Department) officially handed the system over to the SPCA last week, to facilitate them with fast, reliable and safe money transactions at the animal shelter. In addition, Internet Technologies Namibia (ITn) sponsored the electronic installation and G-Pad connectivity. Botes said that they are making available a mobile Speed Point device, which can be used for future FNB fund raising projects. The Speed Point takes all Visa and Master Cards. “The SPCA is most grateful to the FNB for their valuable contribution, and are looking forward to a longstanding relationship with the bank, for the benefit of the animals.” said Sylvia Breitenstein (Chairperson Windhoek SPCA), Here, Rene Botes talks to SPCA receptionist Stella Kheimses, joined by Vinessa Davids (FNB), Hilary Du Plessis (SPCA Manager) and Reggy Louw (FNB).
