City to present budget next month

The City of Windhoek will present its 2013/2014 financial year budget for approval at its next ordinary council meeting scheduled for 26 June.
Mayor Agnes Kafula said the city has received input and proposals for capital expenditures from various stakeholders as part of its consultation process.
“The city is now busy considering the various input received and prioritising on the most urgent development issues. As in any other budgetary process, it is unfortunate that not all proposed projects from our communities and stakeholders would accommodated at the same time,” she said.
The Mayor said the council will apply its mind to ensure that priority is given to the most urgent developmental issues within the constraints of the available resources.
