Poly Rector honoured

One of the historic universities in the United States of America, the Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, has awarded the Polytechnic of Namibia’s Rector, Professor Tjama Tjivikua, the Doctor of Humane Letters, honoris causa. The degree was awarded in recognition of his “outstanding contributions to higher education and as one of the most dedicated and committed humanitarians.” (In the picture) Tjama Tjivikua receiving the Honorary Doctorate at Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. He is flanked by (ltr) Bishop David E Evans (Chair of the Board of Trustees), Sharman F Lawrance-Wilson (Member of the Board of Trustees) and Dr Robert Jennings (President and Ex-Officio Member of the Board of Trustees). To the extreme left is Dr Kenoye Eke (Vice President for Academic Affairs) and Nigerian retired Lt General Theophilus Danjuma (Businessman and Philanthropher), who made a significant donation to the university.
