Part-time Grade 10 and 12 latecomers get another chance

Grade 10 and 12 part-time candidates who were not able to register for the October / November 2013 National Examinations by the closing date of 03 April has been granted permission to do so from 21 May to 05 June.
According to Alfred llukena Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, the ministry was informed by the regional directorates and part-time examination centres that Grade 10 and 12 part-time candidates were not able to register for the examinations and hence special permission was granted for those candidates to do so at the later date.
“Directorates of education and part time examination centres must ensure that they will be able to accommodate such candidates in terms of examination venues and other resources needed for conducting and administration of national examination,” he said.
He further said centres who are not able to accommodate these candidates must refer them to the other educational regions or part-time examination centres where spaces are still available.
He also urged regional examination officials to ensure that the registration forms of these candidates are delivered to the regional offices on 11 June 2013 and to be with the Directorate of National Examination and Assessment on 14 June 2013 together with the amended preliminary entry list for the 2013 national examinations.
“Candidates should note that they will have no opportunity to verify their entries registration for 2013   national examinations. Therefore,candidates are urged to complete the registration form with due diligence. It also should be noted that this exception will not apply in the 2014 national examinations,” concluded the Permanent Secretary.
