Urbock back in May

The Breweries this week launched its favourite winter beer, Urbock. The day also marked the 497th anniversary of the Reinheitsgebot proclaimed by Duke Wilhelm IV which states that beer should only be brewed using malted barley, hops and water. The beer is brewed for about seven weeks with roasted malted barley instead of normal barley giving it a unique dark flavour and look. Urbock has a 7% alcohol content which makes it ideal for cold winter night. Christian Müller, brewing manager at the Breweries was one of the first people to taste and sample  this years Urbock Lager to make sure that it is brewed to perfection.
