Four northern Kapana Cook-Off representatives move to next round
The Nedbank National Kapana Cook-Off, Northern preliminary round took place last week in Oshakati. According to Nedbank 140 entries were received for the northern round.
The northern first round kicked off with the challenge to prepare salsa, said Nedbank, as salsa accompanies and rounds off all authentic Namibian Kapana dishes.
“The best salsa entrants progressed to the second round and were challenged to prepare their own Kapana braai, the competition was tough among the talented entrees from the North and the judges had a daunting task to deliver judgment as the tastes and flavours were indeed exceptionally high in Kapana standards,” Nedbank said.
According to the bank, following the judging round, the top finalist from the Northern Round who are designated to compete in the finals in Ongwediva in August, were announced. Those chosen for the preliminary round include: Emiliana Shoombe, Samaria Apulile, Kanyoloo Matheus and Elila Shabaka.
