Rumours of winter

As the colder weather of autumn is closing in, Namibians are reminded to turn their clocks one hour back during Saturday night. Officially, at 02:00 on Sunday morning, winter time kicks in, in accordance with the Namibia Time Act No.3 of 1994 which regulates winter and summer time. The Act stipulates that Namibia enters winter time the first Sunday in April of every year and reverts back to summer time on the first Sunday of September. Winter time is one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time or zero UTZ. (Photograph by Lorato Khobetsi)
