Visit the Tourism Expo and have a look at an E-Bike, just the thing to do cardio and enjoy it

SunCycles, the innovative group behind the growing number of E-Bikes, earlier this year received a national Energy Globe Award for their groundbreaking work to introduce electric bicycles for a variety of applications to local users.

The award was presented in Windhoek to the SunCylces Managing Director, Marita Walther, by the Minister of Mines and Energy, Hon Tom Alweendo and the Deputy Austrian Trade Commissioner in South Africa, Andreas Pfleger.

E-Bikes were first introduced to Namibia some four years ago in 2015. In the meantime they have found the annual Tourism Expo to be an ideal venue to draw more attention to their unique bicycles. This week they continued that tradition, exhibiting again at this popular tourism promotional event in Windhoek.

SunCycles received an Energy Globe Award in recognition of their drive to introduce electric bicycles to rural communities, and for their solar recharge infrastructure.

Over the past two years SunCycles has supplied E-Bikes to about sixteen Namibian lodges, to various anti-poaching community game guards, and most recently to Steve Galloway for his arduous 4000 km traverse of Namibia from south to north and west to east.
