MVA Fund in blood donation drive

The MVA Fund of Namibia has joined forces with the Blood Transfusion Services of Namibia to host a blood donation drive in order to raise awareness and save lives this Easter weekend. The Easter weekend has become notorious for road crashes, and during this peak time the need for blood products is usually higher, while blood donations are in short supply.
In an effort to ensure that a sufficient blood supply will be available to meet patients’ needs, the MVA Fund will be hosting a blood donation drive at its premises in Windhoek. The officials from the Blood Transfusion services will run the clinic and attend to all those donating blood.
The MVA Fund therefore extends an invitation to government agencies, businesses, big or small, and the general public to play their part in this life saving venture by donating blood on Wednesday, 27 March 2013, at the MVA Fund offices in Church Street. The blood donation clinic will take place between 09h00 and 15h00.
