Chamber of Commerce talks oil, gas, exploration and energy in Abu Dhabi

The Namibian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) recently attended the ABU Dhabi Sustainability Week and had an opportunity to engage with various business people in the field of oil and gas, exploration and energy as well as opportunities to trade and utilise the United Arab Emirates as a hub to access the Gulf.

NCCI Chairman Martin Shipanga, in a statement said this platform created an excellent opportunity to exchange and to discuss ideas with business people who have expressed an interest to invest in Namibia, in the above areas of business.

“In order to further strengthen the business ties and relationship, we have further made contact with the Abu Dhabi Chamber and they have expressed commitment to link up with NCCI in order to explore opportunities for Namibian and Abu Dhabi businesses,” Shipanga said.

Shipanga noted that both countries have agreed to identify specific areas of collaboration and hope to soon receive a delegation from Abu Dhabi, while at the same time create a reciprocal opportunity for a Namibian delegation to visit Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is the leading B2B sustainability event in the Middle East, and serves as a global platform addressing the interconnected challenges that affect the widespread acceleration and adoption of sustainable development and clean energy.
