Poets called to participate in open mic night at Warehouse Theatre – any poem goes!

The Loft at the Warehouse Theatre in Windhoek will be hosting a poetry open mic night on Wednesday 9 January 2019, inviting all creative people feeling the muse’s pull to pen their thoughts on paper and share it with the audience.

Budding poets can sign up from 18:00, while the show starts at 19:00. Entry fee for the public is N$50 and for participants only N$40.

The theatre’s management is encouraging poets to enter to showcase their talents if they have poems ready. “You only have two days to go and remember, you do not have to follow the theme. Any poem goes, and let the mic be yours,” they added.

To spread the word, hashtag, #Expression #OpenMicNightWhk #PoetryCommunity #SpokenWord.

Open mic is a live show in which audience members who are either amateur performers or professionals, and who want to try out new material or plug an upcoming show, are given the opportunity to perform on stage.
