IT with a pinch of Salt

Salt Essential IT, Namibia’s IT Specialist and Cloud Services Provider recently announced that it is now a VSP (VMware Service Provider.) This new service aims at solidifying Salt’s position as one of the leading IT consulting companies in Namibia.
According to a recent press statement from the company, customers rely on VMware to help them transform the way they build, deliver and consume information technology resources. According to them, the resources need to be viewed in a manner that is evolutionary and based on their specific needs. The statement explained that Salt is currently the only Namibian IT Service Provider to reach the level of proficiency demanded by VMware and is therefore proud to be part of the VMware Service Provider Program (VSPP). “Salt is obsessed with providing the best, most integrated and comprehensive solutions available for its clients. This means that we take that extra step to build partnerships, alliances and stay at the cutting edge of technology. The fact that we have become the first and only VMware Service Provider is a result of our drive.”said Jürgen Weiss, Managing Director of Salt.VMware Service Provider Program (VSPP) focuses on service providers who offer cloud computing and host IT services built on VMware platform. VMware and vCloud Services offer a broad array of Vmware compatible infrastructure clouds built on a secure platform and delivered by vCloud service providers. This enables customers to easily extend, manage and scale their data centre workloads to a public cloud. Clients using this technology can now securely connect their internal cloud with Salt, giving them a dedicated pool of resources and allowing them to migrate  between important applications.The news comes a week after Salt essential scooped the PMR Diamond Arrow Award for the highest ranked IT consultancy firm in Namibia. “Salt has the know-how and certification to represents some of the best known global brands in the field of ICT. It remains at the cutting edge of technology and offers its clients the best products. Becoming the first VSSP in Namibia, fits in with the drive and desire that Salt has to be the best and provide the optimum for its clients,” said Vanessa Maresch, Business Development Manager at the company. She further stated that with the VSSP, consolidation is now possible. “This translates into reduced IT costs through increased consolidation, task automation and simplified management.”
