Making rural teaching easier
Last year, the Namdeb Foundation invested approximately N$75 million in social projects of which an estimated N$4 million went to education.
The school principals and representatives who travelled from all corners of Namibia praised the Namdeb Foundation. Principal of Tsukwe Primary School said “Our school has 15 teachers and 604 learners hailing from a marginalised community. This donation is a huge step forward in the development of our learners”.
Speaking at the event Chairperson of the Namdeb Foundation Board, Daniel Kali said Namdeb supports the Ministry of Education’s efforts aimed at improving the Namibian educational system on various fronts. “We are proud to be making a difference to the improvement of education. It is the best investment that one can make”.
Under Secretary (Formal Education) from the Ministry of Education, Charles Kabajani reminded the recipients of the donated equipment to take care of the resources which they have received as a gift.
The schools that benefitted from the Namdeb donation are Bloukrans Primary School (Dordabis), Shikeva Combined School (Ohangwena), ELCRN Hostel (Grunau), Tsumkwe Primary School (Otjozondjupa), Bukalo Primary School (Caprivi), Eenkalashe Combined School (Onesi), AME Community Private Primary School (Kalkrand), Omatjete Primary School (Erongo), Mariental Primary School, Nailenge Primary School (Ohangwena) and Martin Luther High School (Omaruru).
