DTS announces beach volleyball tournaments for 2013

Seven beach volleyball tournaments are scheduled for this year according to the German sport club DTS. According to their recent announcement, DTS will host these tournaments much to the delight of beach volleyball fans and players. Prize money of N$4000 will be awarded to the victorious team at each tournament courtesy of the sponsors, Maerua Superspar.
According to Heiko Kesselmann, DTS Beach Volleyball Event Coordinator, the past events have been received well by the public and continue to draw attention and support to the sport. “We are also very happy to have Windhoek Canopy Centre on board, who will support the emerging category ‘Girls Development’ with N$ 4200 (N$ 600 per tournament) that will be handed out to this 2-a-side youth category (girls under 18).”
“Our very popular 4-a-side mixed category has shown that there is a growing demand for social Volleyball,”Kesselmann said. He warned the players to be mindful of the rules regarding registered players when it comes to social volleyball.“No more registered players are allowed to play in the 4-a-side category. A registered player is a player who is/was registered with the Namibian Volleyball Federation or any any other official Volleyball Federation for the year 2012 and 2013.”
According to Mr Kesselmann FX Fitness will once again co sponsor the events. They will award  the most athletic player from both female and male categories for each tournament with great prizes. An overall prize for the year is also up for contention.
As a closing remark, Kesselmann explained,“We have upgraded the beach volleyball facilities by adding another court as well as an additional container which will be used for the sound system and tournament directors. Together with the DTS Beach Volleyball community and their partners BOSE Soundsystem (Audio Vision Namibia) and Container World, we will offer you 7 great events this year and hope you will enjoy the hospitality of the DTS Club.”
