Knowledge Foundations awards 20 bursaries

The Knowledge Foundations awarded 20 students with bursaries worth N$ 400 00 for its 2013 bursary scheme. The students will undertake their studies at the Polytechnic and the University of Namibia.
Established in 2008, the Knowledge Foundations has awarded bursaries to 43 students across all 13 regions since 2010. The scheme assists students who have shown extraordinary potential but do not have the financial means to further their studies. Bursaries are awarded to students in the fields of commerce, science, technology, communications, geology, economics, arts, finance as well as law.
According to Knowledge Katti, founder of the Knowledge Foundations, the bursaries granted will help contribute to building the country’s human resource capacity. “ As a way of giving back to the community, we offer this opportunity to help build future leaders of tommorrow by ensuring that talented students are not locked away because of financial hurdles,” Katti said.
The Knowledge Foundations is a registered charity committed to a positive change in the country through education, philanthropy and healthcare. The Foundations works with donors and sponsors, both large and small to ensure that it reaches goals and is made up of three distinctive and seperate entities that cover three different sections of charitable giving, which are Open Minds, Brick by Brick and Healing Hands.
The Knowledge Foundations has up to date spent more than 1.5 million on social economical projects.
