DTS launches Volleyball-for-All tournie

Brand Manager, Windhoek Trade Mark, Carmen-Rae Bridgens said, “NBL has been a proud supporter of this exciting national event since 1989 and through this sound relationship, many successful volleyball tournaments were produced. As a keen sponsor of sporting events, the NBL brand, Windhoek Draught is the ideal brand to associate with the Volleyball-for-All tournament, as it is a brand with a bold character – a trait that most volleyball teams possess. We hope that this association will encourage participants to persevere and have fun regardless of the figure on the scoreboard.”
Since its inception in 1983, the event has brought together many volleyball enthusiasts of different ages, genders, cultures and backgrounds. Said Bridgens, “an event of this nature is a good reflection of the team spirit, passion and support that are equally enjoyed by a team of athletes and their spectators alike.”
The chairman of the DTS Sport Club, Werner Gouws, also expressed his delight at the upcoming tournament. “This event has become one of the highlights on the Namibian sporting calendar. In particular, I must emphasize the massive contribution that Namibia Breweries Limited made in bringing this whole event together with Windhoek Draught.”
Bridgens added that they are proud to assist a club like DTS that is committed to various campaigns such as countering under-age selling of alcohol and supporting the dial-a-cab initiative so that no one has to drink-and-drive but rather arrive safely at their destination.
