Mining focussed securities to highlight opportunities at Mining Indaba
The 19th edition of the Investing in African Mining Indaba will feature the Securities Exchange Sessions as part of its programme for 2013.
These sessions will be hosted by three exchanges from major mining jurisdictions, Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), London Stock Exchange (LSE) and the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).
The objective of these gatherings is to help educate delegates and sponsors about how the strong natural resources capital markets that operate through these exchanges improves liquidity, lowers the cost of capital, and diversifies investment opportunities. Financial and legal experts from the three countries will advise Mining Indaba delegates on how to tap into these capital markets for African operations specifically, their presentations will also focus on trends and the industry outlook for 2013.
The team from TSX will amongst others explain how the resource-focused Canadian capital marketplace adds value to international public mining companies and how companies can benefit by being financed on TSX and TSX Venture Exchange.
ASX will host its presentation under the theme, “Join the Rising Stars in Africa.” As suggested by the theme, the team from ASX will unpack the key success factors of ASX listed companies in Africa.
The LSE, which last year merged with TSX to create the biggest exchange company in the world by total listings, will highlight capital raising opportunities for mining companies in the LSE’s AIM market.
The Securities Exchange Sessions will take place on the 4th and 5th of February 2013 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, the venue of the Investing in African Mining Indaba.
