Every year there is a growing number of individuals who would like to embark on an entrepreneurial journey. It is against this background that the Namibia Business Innovation Centre (NBIC) will be hosting several Idea Creation Workshops for individuals who would like to come up with new and exciting business ideas in order to start their own businesses.
The workshops will be conducted in conjunction with experts from the Institute of Leadership and Management Training (IMLT) who will equip aspiring entrepreneurs with knowledge and skills on how to generate innovative business ideas and how to assess their viability.
Angela von Wietersheim, the Namibia Business Innovation Centre Acting General Manager says that, “every business originated from an idea. There are lots of good ideas out there and the Namibia Business Innovation Centre helps aspiring and existing entrepreneurs to shape and implement these ideas. As the country works towards decreasing unemployment, innovative business ideas that are implemented successfully can contribute significantly to solving this problem”.
Participants who come up with interesting business ideas stand a chance of attending the NBIC Boot Camp.
The Boot Camp is a dedicated business start-up training that guides prospective entrepreneurs in crafting their ideas into business plans.
Mufaro Nesongano, Marketing & Public Relations officer at the Namibia Business Innovation Centre says that, “one cannot overstate the importance of such initiatives. The skills that our aspiring entrepreneurs learn are priceless in their quest of achieving their dreams of becoming the next SME in Namibia”.
The first innovative workshops will take place next weekend, 26 January from 08:00 to 13:00 at the Namibia Business Innovation Centre, Innovation Village.
