Simply the same
Born in1964 in Germany, and trained in New York, Goltz has worked on various books, magazines, calenders and post cards. When asked to describe his work he says, “I try to see and then make simple photographs of what cannot be explained. Normally, it must be beautiful like Namibian. women, leopards, a milk bush in the Namib and so on”.
Not only is Christian a photographer he is also a writer and the president of the Photographic Society of Namibia. His work has been taken into private collections in Germany, Japan, the USA and in Namibia.
Award-winning Goltz owns ‘Kiss of Light’, a fine-art photography studio in Windhoek, specializing in nature photography in the broadest sense. He is also a fine-art printer, takes on commercial assignments and offers photographic workshops. In ‘Simply the same’ he shows his recent work in outdoor portraiture, wildlife and landscape, establishing the inherent connections expressed in these subjects’ natural beauty.
The exhibition opens on 28 January at the FNCC gallery and will run until 27 February. Entrance is free.
